Austin is the capital of the U.S. state of Texas and one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. Although most well-known for its live music, barbeque, breweries, and breakfast tacos, Austin has a large technology industry. All of the major computer hardware designers (i.e. ARM, Intel, AMD, IBM, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Samsung, and Apple) have large offices spread throughout the city.

Transportation to Austin
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is the major airport in the Austin area. Neighboring cities with major airports include: San Antonio (1.75 hours car ride), Dallas (3.5 hours car ride), and Houston (3.5 hour car ride).
Transportation around Austin
Taxis from the airport cost around $25 USD one-way. Other options include SuperShuttle and the ride-sharing apps RideAustin and Fasten. Note: Uber and Lyft currently do not operate in Austin.
